Faro Airport Transfer

Faro originally called Santa María de Faro is a Portuguese city, capital of the homonymous district and of the Algarve region. It has 64,560 inhabitants and is the head of a municipality with 201.31 km² (2011).

Divided into six freguesias (parishes), the municipality borders São Brás de Alportel to the north and west, Olhão to the east, Loulé to the west, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. By highway it is 278 km from Lisbon, 111 km from Huelva and 198 from Seville. Important tourist center, has an international airport and an outstanding monumental heritage: Iglesia del Carmen with the Chapel of Bones, the Gothic Cathedral, the Estói Palace or walls. It is also the seat of the University of the Algarve. Faro has a commercial area in the city center around Francisco Gomes, Liberdade and Ferreira Almeida streets and Calle de santo António, the main shopping street in the city.

The Faro airport It is located 4 km west of the city center. Due to its location in the south of Portugal, it is also called the Algarve airport. As the Algarve is a popular tourist destination, the airport gets very busy during the high season in summer. Faro airport has only one main terminal, which is divided into two areas:

- Starting area

The terminal building has two levels. You will find restaurants and shopping options on the second floor. Wi-Fi access is available in the airport terminal. There are different transportation options. We advise you to take a transfer from the Airport from € 17 to the city center or to any city in the Algarve. There is no train station at the airport. To get to the nearest train station, you must go to the city center of Faro.
