CANCUN AIRPORT TRANSFERS

The Cancun International Airport (IATA Code: CUN - ICAO Code: MMUN - DGAC Code: CUN1), is located 16 kilometers from the city of Cancun, on the Caribbean coast on the Yucatan Peninsula. It is the second busiest airport in Mexico, only after Mexico City International Airport, but the most important in Mexico and Latin America for international passengers.

The airport was remodeled and expanded to become the 2nd busiest airport in the country and the one that serves the most international passengers in the country. It has two operational runways more than 1,500 m apart which allows them to be used simultaneously and three commercial terminals. Terminal 1 is used by charter flights from North America, including local charter airlines. Terminal 2 is used by some international airlines as well as all domestic airlines and the new Terminal 3 handles most of the international operations of North American and European airlines.

It is a city in the state of Quintana Roo, being the head of the municipality of Benito Juárez, it is located in eastern Mexico, more than 1,700 km from Mexico City.6 It is the most populated city in the state with 628,306 inhabitants according to the latest censuses of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography in 2010. Considered an international tourist destination, certified by the World Tourism Organization, 7 its development project began operations in 1974 as a Comprehensively Planned Center, pioneer of Fonatur (National Fund for the Promotion of Tourism), formerly known as Infratur.
